So, you guys still don't get it, do you?

We KNOW that Rick Knox (aka P81) has a fairly open policy in regards to usage of his ships. Seeing as the models themselves are extremely outdated by todays standards, it's understandable that Rick would no longer care if it's being used without his consent or not. That being said, I see nothing in that screenshot that would indicate that Rick Knox "joined the team" as you guys claimed he had.

The issue at hand, which afaik have yet to be corrected, is the incorrect usage of OTHER fan-made models, such as DJ Curtis's Galaxy Class, and a few other models (such as the 3rd Era Defiant Bridge in one or more leaked images/versions). Models which at one point or another, was part of the "BC2" project, and which never was allowed to be used by the original authors. Infact, you guys blatently "stole" said models, and claimed them as your own. And instead of proving that you had taken away the models that you were not allowed to use (by the modellers), you claim "well, you have no rights anyways, so we'll use whatever we'd like".

In short: Nothing has changed. Rick allows you guys to use his outdated models. Good on you. But the remaining models are still in violation of "fair use" policy, which in most cases involve ASKING the individual modellers for permission to use their models. Permissions, which as of yet have not been obtained.

DJ Himself said thet XsniperX could use his galaxy class for demonstration purposes which XsniperX has said many times. DJ himself even said it i remember. as for the defiant bridge. guess what? if you were following the project as well as you thought you were you would know he has something completely different in the works AKA he was just using the brige as a place holder. i remember him saying that on the Excalibur forums because people were moaning about it.

You just love copy+pasting don't you?

The offending models have been removed, i need not provide any proof, you can have proof when the game is released.

Ahh, the arrogance of kids like you.

You expect us to take your word for it, that the models have been removed? You've blatantly lied about things in the past, outright STOLEN artwork which did not belong to you, and which you had no permission to use. And we're supposed to TRUST YOU?

If thelasthallow has been following the debate as well as he claims, he would know that DJ Curtis RESCINDED the usage of his Galaxy Class model DUE to this entire crisis as it were.

Not gonna post quotes from a topic which has since been locked at BCC, and to which you both have been banned from for exactly the reasons I posted above (lieing, stealing etc).

If the offending models are present in the next build of the game then this "dispute" can continue, but if they have been removed and will not be present in any future versions then I do not see the problem.

Either way - there is no way to know for sure until the next build of the game is released to the public.

Topic Locked.
