Reminds me of Atlantis from Stargate :) When i read the thread title, i thought you meant marine  soldiers - took a few seconds for it to click that you meant Water - lol.

Another Beautiful Design - Although i would have thought something like this would have some kind of weapons........Give that the story for STO was supposed to involve some fierce new enemy.....

well since its on a planets surface ( water) i decided to give it planetary orbitals to counteract any threats (phaser and torpedo batteries) which would give the station's crew time to arm themselves or evacuate, whichever seems more prudent at the time. good suggestion tho :)

I suppose that torpedo's would be a given for sub-furface threats Tethy's, but I suggest an acoustical design weapon for underwater weapons. Sonic's, sub-sonic's and/or ultra-sonic sounds travel extremely well in a liquid environment. Just some thought's for you to mull over.
Orbital defense wise, drop the torpedo concept there, and use some sort of missile system with the phaser arrays. Other than that, I am excited to see a non-ship based design again. I have a few concepts along this line also, just too lazy to draw them out!  :ugh:
Thia is good work, keep at it.

I like it! Very good idea, especially if it were to occur in ST:O. It would give people in the Science department a chance to study something other than space!
