Refit: 35 - 45 yrs (major) 10 yrs (minor)

Alignment & Era: Pre St:O; Commissioned August 1, 2393

Mission profile: The ability to coordinate strikes and oppose any hostile first contacts is unsurpassed with the introduction of the Providence. An absolutely massive ship, dwarfing over any and all other ships in the UFP. This ship is intended for extremely long range missions ranging from 5 - 15 years of exploration, considering the circumstances. She is a bit sluggish, however she makes up for it with her firepower and the ability to separate the saucer from the engineering hull. When separated, the Providence is nearly unstoppable.

Purpose within Starfleet: Long range explorer capable of protecting the Federations assets as well as defense in times of war.

Purpose within Star Trek Online: A hub, or possibly a player controlled ship, when one reaches a certain level.

1.2 kilometres! You think big Tethys! This Providence could carry Defiants for fighters, hey!  :D

I have noticed that your sub-light speeds have been hovering around the .6 to .7 range on these last three. I would be careful of those speeds for impulse, because of the effects of speed on the time occurring outside of the ship. I would hate to spend 8 or 10 years out on the fringes of known space, cruising around new systems at these high sub-light speeds, and show up back in Federation space 6 or 10 years out of sync with the real time in the galaxy.

But I digress...keep 'em coming Tethys. You are certainly thinking "outside the box" on these!  :supernova:

On a ship like this, I think a higher crew compliment would be called for.  Enterprise-D had over 1000 and it was less than half the size of this.

Even with 2200 people, this could still feel like a very empty ship.  I think at least 4000 people should be the standard crew with a 14,000 emergency limit.

thanks zach, i had to edit the width and height as well as the deck count to make it comparable to the galaxy class and still keep the length of the providence without shortening her height according to the previous size chart. if u can understand what i just said lol cuz i dont. must be cuz im listening to music too lol. anyway this is an update with a newer and cleaner size chart.
