Technologies:Quantum Warp Drive: Essentially, the Quantum Warp Drive is a working version of a scaled down Quantum Slipstream Drive similar to the one encountered by the USS Voyager in the Delta Quadrant. The QWD works by taking a M/ARA and manipulating it on the quantum level in order to effectively create a larger, more stable warp bubble. The larger bubble allows the ship to be propelled at incredible speeds rivaling that of Borg transwarp.
Quantum Gel Packets: Quantum Gel Packets use a special kind of synthetic gel called 'calracyde gel' that conducts plasma flow at a higher and more stable rate than bio-neural gel packs. In the event of a plasma overfeed thoughout the system, these gel packs work in conjunction with newly installed Quantum Circuitry to divert the plasma to a diffusion point. Diffusion points are placed in unimportant, out-of-the-way areas where a plasma overfeed could be controlled and contained more easily. This reduces the chance of system failures associated with a plasma overload.
Quantum Shield Grid: The QSG is a large shield made up of a grid of 16 smaller shields (4 dorsal, 4 ventral, 2 aft, 2 fore, 2 port, 2 starboard). This shield works by taking shield frequency and amplifying it using quantum mechanics. The shield produced by the generator is one with a very low discrepency rate, meaning when focused energy reacts with a section of the grid, it is evenly distributed thoughout the entire shield grid system.
Quantum Hull Armor Plating: Similar to ablative armor, Quantum Armor provides the ship with an extra line of defense in the event of shiled collapse. Any and all enemy fire dierected at the armor or its generators is gathered and distributed thoughout the plating. A special feature to the new armor allows up to 10% of all recieved energy to be stored before any actual damage is registered to the hull. This energy is then converted into energy for weapons & shields, as well as any other system as the need requires. Working in conjunction with the QSG, when the shields drop below a certain percentage, they temporarily shut off and the Quantum Armor is deployed to gather enemy fire. Once 10% is gathered, the shields come back online and power is then transferred from the reserve to the shields. One drawback to the armor is that once the energy is transferred out of the reserve, damage to the quantum distributors slows the distribution rate, meaning concentrated fire to a single section during shield collapse can cause significant damage to the targeted area of the vessel. Maximum capacity rated at 1,250,000 Tw.
Quantum Deflector / Sensor Array: Advancements in sensor technology take targeting to the next level with the introduction of Quantum Deflection technology. Operating on the same principles as conventional deflectors, these quantum deflectors employ a longer range to compensate for the higher speed of the warp drive. Objects with a diameter as large as 100 km can successfully be moved out of a starships path, and stellar objects of 20 km or under are completely vaporized. Advanced targeting allows the deflector to lock onto multiple targets without 'lock lag', a term common among tactical officers.
Quantum Forcefields: New forcefields installed on Quantum Class starships make sure that nothing passes in or out of any desired area. Useful for prisoner holding, holographic images, or in the event of a hull breach, forcefield strengths of up to level 20 can be achieved using quantum technology. It has been speculated that these forcefields can be modified to reinforce areas of the hull where the Quantum Armor has been depleted.
Quantum Circuitry: Quantum Circuitry replaces the starndard circuity found on most starships. Quicker data processing, storage, and transfer are just a few of the benefits of quantum circuitry.
Quantum Subspace Communications: Extended range on starships is useless when it takes hours to establish a link to Starfleet using traditional subspace radio. Quantum Communications solves this problem by employing a dual-channel subspace hyperlink, in some cases called hyper-subspace. Messages can be sent at unimaginable speeds capping at around warp 9.99999999998, a nearly instantaneous link to anywhere within 12000 lightyears. Messages can be sent clear accross the galaxy in a matter of hours, taking only about 2 months to reach our nearest neighbor the Andromeda Galaxy.
