"This is Candice Wall reporting from Mira, a new town on Cardassia Prime. This town is a symbol of how Cardassia is divided. There are many people, mostly former & current government and military officials that want the True Way. That is a return to the government before the Dominion War.

"This is an audio entry for the cryptic planetary exploration contest:

UFP militia reports it has discovered a class Y demon planet where a derelict Miranda class Starfleet ship that had been reported missing was found. An away team recovered the logs and discovered that the ship had become lost and marooned in the sector over two hundred years ago. There was no ability for this ship to contact support, Starfleet had no idea where they were and the warp speed technology of the time was unable to get them to the nearest help. The crew, destined to die, had discovered an advanced race of microbial beings whose civilization was on the brink of distinction due  to famine.
   The impending demise of the crew created mass riots on board the starship and those killed, wounded or incarcerated were dispatched to the class y demon planet to become the sustaining food supply for the microbial civilization.

All crew, the captain and officers eventually met the same fate.
The ships captain was the only surviving member. Only his head remained alive and it was attached to a spider-like mechanical body.

A militia away team was attacked and to become more food until they were able to buy some time by making the captain remember who he was by showing him his old ship videos of himself and then showing this captain proof of the new warp engine technology that could get food to that civilization and open diplomatic ties."
