I dont care so much about "fully explorable" or not. In most MMOs exploration seems to mean: Run around for a few hours, not knowing where to go or why or for what, because our real story content is very limited.

I care far more for the areas that exist to be highly detailed and to provide a huge ammount of interestning events, quests, puzzles and miracles to play arround with. If I had the choice between two mediocre solutions I would prefer my avatar to bounce of an invisible wall instead of running through endless deserts for nothing and "explore".

I've realy got to agree with you in this. I stronglly belive in quality over quantity when it comes to STO (even when it comes to multi factions, I would rather see less content for all playable factions, but good content). I personaly would be more happy dealing with inviso walls, than empty areas... *cough, cough* SWG *cough, cough*.

If you think about how big space is, and generally, how much distance there is between things like solar systems, space stations, and other interesting spacial anomalys, really, there isnt a big task to create all of the content, especially if you have 20, 50, 100 people working on it, you could prbably get through a few sectors a week.

The biggest challenge is going to be coming up with unique models and such.
