Time Travel wasnt so bad in The Next Generation - Let me think of the times it was pulled of well:
The episode where the Enterprise-C gets accidentally flung into the future is one particularly good episode. I liked that one alot, because instead of the main cast getting sent of on some time traveling journey, it was someone that came to them - pretty freakin cool in my mind.
The episode where data gets thrown back to the old wild west! That was an amazing two parter and i loved seeing the TNG cast in the west. It was not deliberate time travel either, all accidental.
All Good Things - The finale episode - this was the only other episode that i can remember that involved time travel in any way, and again, it was not deliberate, it was through the involvement of Q and it was a very well done episode - a great finale.
First Contact was where things started to get a little bit shakey.
Deep Space Nine again had a bunch of good time travel episodes, the one where sisko went back to the riots - brilliant two parter.
The one where Sisko and Co went back to Spacestation K-7 - Trials and Tribillations.....
Voyager and Enterprise were where time travel started to get old, but the point i am trying to make, is that it CAN be done very well, if you have good writers.
