Hails all!

I'm new to the site here and just recently starting to interact with the STO community. I normally prowl the MechWarrior community at sites like http://mektek.net and http://mechlivinglegands.net and have been playing MechWarrior 4 league games since 1999.

I have always loved Star Trek and have watched all the movies with my father when I was growing up through the 80's and 90's, and remember playing Star Trek the 25th Anniversary game on my DOS IBM computer and on the Sega Genesis.

I'm 29, in the military, married w/2 daughters 3 & 4 yrs old from Columbus, OH. I'm a big Buckeyes and Browns fan and cannot wait for STO to come out. Mechwarrior has kept me pretty busy well enough for my to not get as involved with the STO community for the time being but it's getting close and I better start getting to know some friends here :)

I plan to create a fleet in STO following then name of my MW4 Clan which you can visit our site at: http://mwlegacy.com in which I am the leader and have been since 2007.

In the aspect of MechWarrior Community vs STO Community there really isn't much comparison. I feel obviously being bias in Mech the community has died down over the past couple years with Microsoft killing the MW5 production team back in like 2003, but since Tinker & Smith broke off and bought the IP's for MechWarrior and released concept videos and announced the begining work of MW5 the community is starting to grow again.

But with the STO Community the numbers are much greater and energized with the upcoming release of STO. I have been blown away by the size of this community and look forward to making a name for myself here as I have in MW4. I hope everyone is a personable and knowledgable about everyone else like in the MechWarrior community.
