Terilynn is a Staff Writer from AirlockAlpha.com and InsideBlip.com who has made her first foray into MMORPG gaming with Star Trek Online.

lol I read it too and I liked it very much.

Don't feel bad Teri, I'm 40 and came to the MMO world in my early 30's, and I was every bit as lost as you. Take solace in the fact that many MMOs nowadays have a similar control scheme (W, A, S, D), although space DOES take some getting used to for me as well.

If you're a Trekkie you know most of the universe already, including what toys are better than what else just by the names. =) The rest will come easily.

Thanks everyone!  And thanks for reading the column!  I also very much appreciate the kind support.  I have to say I was so stinking thrilled I made it past those Orions.  (I lost a crewmember to the ceiling - one of the funnier bugs I've seen.)

But I'm learning.  I have found it VERY useful to have a second player.  I bring my first player through a mission then go back and bring the second player through and find I'm much better.

I'm actually getting used to space battles, I think.  ;)

I will be frequenting here as I will be be wringing you all for advice!
