Hailing Frequency is proud to announce the upcoming launch of Star Trek Online Radio at
www.sto-radio.com - which is currently schedule to go into pre-launch on June 30th 2010 and full launch by July 18th 2010!
Currently in heavy preparation for pre-launch - we have a vision for STO-Radio that will see us increasing the immersivness of the gamers inside of Star Trek Online - and as such, we are planning a schedule that not only features popular music, but also has regular features from you, the gamer and regular reports about what is happening inside of Star Trek Online, Road Reports, Mission Reports, Reports from the Frontlines, Fleet Events, STO Events and more!
STO-Radio is putting together a leading team of DJ's from around the internet all of which have a passion for Star Trek Online, and our currently volunteers including the likes of Station Manager Devil Jones, DJ MightyMundane, DJ Delta122 and many more talented people.
In addition, STO-Radio.com has agreements in place with several leading Star Trek Online Podcasts such as STOked, The Red Shirt Army and more, to syndicate their weekly podcasts on STO-Radio.com - further expanding our community participation and coverage of Star Trek Online.
While STO-Radio will be focusing largely on Star Trek Online, it should also be noted that Hailing Frequency Podcasts will be re-broadcast on the Radio Stream, providing coverage of the many other facets of Star Trek Gaming as well.
The STO-Radio.com website is currently in countdown mode at
www.sto-radio.com so keep your browsers trained to that location in preparation for pre-launch, which will consist of a rich, but automated playlist, prior to our full launch event on July 18th 2010 which will contain our first live shows and events!
DJs and Managers Needed!If you would like to volunteer to be a DJ for STO-Radio.com then you are already half-way to being part of our amazing team.
Whether you are an experienced DJ, or someone who has never streamed a radio show in your life, we have resources available for all. New DJs will be provided with full training videos on how to use our systems and software, while existing DJs will be free to run their shows how and when they want to.
All you need is:
- At least 1 hour of time per week to dedicate to STO Radio
- A decently sized music library OR the ability to run shows in Talk Show format
- Experience with SAM Broadcaster OR a willingness to learn!
- A microphone or headset
