Hi, folks. I can now officially let you know what is going on! Sorry for the delay! --Kinn
Q: Once you have settled into a favorite MMO, do you listen to music while playing?
Q: Have you ever tuned into a radio station created for an MMO?
Q: Have you ever heard an in-character radio station for an MMO?
Q: What does a MMO radio station for Star Trek Online need?
Q: What don't you want to hear on a MMO radio station for Star Trek Online?
If you have any thoughts beyond those above please let me know.

Howdy, folks.
I am Kinneas, one of your old co-hosts and producers of the Hailing Frequency pod cast since 2005. I was one of a small number of people in the world to bring you the very first interviews with both Perpetual Entertainment & Cryptic Studios (Daron Stinnett, Jack Emmert, Craig Zinkievich, Nicole Hamlett, etc.)
In the (almost one hundred) Hailing Frequency shows & specials I helped produced the 'Fleet Radio' music segments that were to provide an outlet for Commercial Commons musicians as well as promote the idea of 'Radio and Media' in Star Trek Online.
Radio in MMO's is now a common thing but many are just your ordinary, real world radio stations and with the Fleet Radio segments I always promoted the idea of in-character radio or a station that was far more tailored to Star Trek Online. Something that could add more immersion to a players gaming experience as well as provide them great music, up to the moment gaming news, developer interviews, live DJ's, talk radio, requests, contests and hopefully even provide you possible mission information you might not get in the game itself.
I've mentioned the idea to Jack Emmert & Craig Zinkievich during interviews and the response was positive, so I recently I started contacting peoples who had the kind of infrastructure and experience to pull of in-game radio for Star Trek Online and the one's that kept shining above all the others was 'GAMING RADIO NETWORK', Creators of EVE RADIO.
They are an amazingly professional group with many years of experience entertaining MMO audiences and they were very receptive to my ideas on what I would do if I had a Star Trek Online Radio station.
So they gave me a fully developed station and all the creative control I will need to work with potential Role-Playing (and non- Role Playing ) DJ's who want to be the voices of the United Federation, Klingon Empire and all the realms in-between and beyond. As well as the freedom to work with the Fleets of Star Trek Online to provide them a way to promote themselves or spread empire news.
So the idea has now become a reality.
It is in place and ready for a shakedown cruise when Open Beta starts and it will officially launch the moment Star Trek Online does...
... All it needs is YOU!
