I keep thinking about the initial statements in this topic and keep thinking about the concept of 'Design for it...but release expanded content as you go'.
I know I go on about the money they will be making an awful lot...and it is still going to make a great profit...
...but for the sake of speed...at this time, it may be vital to have a solid leader at the helm who will launch something FUN...and do it FAST!
If they do make the projected profits, they have the luxury of exploring how to make advanced features work.
Now that the slate is clean again and time is the issue, my thinking about what it has to be at launch it starting to get very spartan again.
I'm pretty much going to back down and be o.k. with anything at this point. I feel somewhat better about the direction a MMO could go after the ION 08 conf.
As long as what they do release, even minimalist, is very very entertaining, we will be in there to help it evolve from there.
