I am guessing more than anticipated. But it's just a guess.

I once asked an English teacher I had in college why she didn't occasionally assign creative writing assignments. She basically said she would have to read a lot of garbage.

So, they are probably reading a lot of garbage right now. Mine included, but I had to try.

They probably are reading a lot. So we may not see results until tomorrow. I kept mine a bit short mainly because I didn't want to go into a huge fanfic, and it easily could have with the premise I went by.

I am anxious to see though. Almost as eager for this as for Open Beta, lol.

I am super excited too!  I made mine into a campy TOS style episode...  lol...  I hope it translates well.

Thankfully they're accepting entries over 600 words if they were submitted before the edit. I emailed mine before they added a word limit and out of curiosity, I checked the word count just now. A little over 800! Wow! lol. Here I'd been afraid it was greatly under 600.

So, any word on the winners?

Oops, scratch that. I didn't see there were more pages to the post.

Yeah, the page count really blends in with the background. x.x;

The competition closed last night at midnight GMT and we are now in the process of filtering through over 200 entries, to find our winners.

Due to the high bulk, its probably going to take us a day or two to filter through all of them and narrow down our winners, so please bear with us :-)

Great way to increase traffic to the site and get new members. I'm so glad Massively did a story on this contest, or I never would have found the site. I hope the winning entries get posted for everyone to read!

Oh I didn't know that Massivly had written about this - cool!

That's how I came to be here.

Thanks for the update on the process!

Even if you're not ready to announce the winners, can you let us know when you've made your decisions?

I only ask so that...  ...other people...  ...definitely not me, but others can stop obsessively checking to see if they're part of the 197 who didn't make it.

Much appreciated.  :startrek016:
