3 New STO Screenshots

Cryptic Studios have updated the Gallery on the official Star Trek Online website showing off 3 new screenshots, one of which gives us a very interesting look at their character creation system.

Anyone recognize the race of the 5th and 6th characters? I feel like I should know the 5th, but can't remember... :(

I think the 6th is just a romulan with a different skin colour choice. Maybe if you wanted to play a rolulan half breed or something.

they all look like 10-12 yr old boys, with the exception of the top right, which is a young female. dunno why they have to lookn like tweens.

I agree with Falin. We seem to be lacking facial maturity at the moment.  Even some basic facial features would help - scars, facial hair, some lines.  I hope these are very early examples of the characters.

I would expect that morphing of avatars should now be possible for Cryptic

Well looking at it further.... maybe not.  I noticed that key facial features are the same for each face, such as the lips, check bones, chin, nose and eyes (bone structure).

Regarding to the character creation system what is being promised we see in the screenshot of the characters how to select species. Isn't the 4th a Vulcan?

the 4th is probably a vulcan. as for the CC machine, they say the face will be the most customizable part of the character (for obvious reasons involving the uniform) so expect to be able to fiddle with your mouth, nose, ears, jaw, chin, eyes, eyebrows, forehead and hair. the list probably can be even longer, but we will have to wait and see.

 Looks to me to be...from top left to bottom right...

 Andorian; Human; Klingon;
 Vulcan; Orion; Romulan.

 And I agree that these may be just generic faces without much 'customization' added. Perhaps they did not have time??? :P
