Thanks for the new image, Zach. Good job negotiating the chance to make it public.

I'm pretty much in agreement with everything that's been said so far about the new image. The one thing I can offer is this: Is it me, or does the silhouette look very much like the outlines of characters from Star Trek: The Animated Series?

That's not intended as a put-down; I'm just exploring the possibility. Here's an example of characters in a still from an episode of TAS (from the best episode, "Yesteryear"):

Anybody else see a bit of a stylistic resemblance here?

Second question: If there is a resemblance, should there be? In other words, if Perpetual had gone this direction with character images (or if Cryptic retains this direction), is that a good call? Or would some other style be more appropriate for characters, and if so, what would that style be?

Looking forward to more of the Lost Treasures of Perpetual!

Holy smokes...it's Flatfingers!!!  :D  Welcome to HF Flatfingers...great to have you aboard!

I've actually not seen these pics before, but I tend to agree with RR that the phaser is big and it's not even attached to the uniform correctly.  As to the graphics in question; this is just a basic model and not the finalized product.

It will be interesting to see what Cryptic does with it.

that picture really looks awsome, but the phaser looks like a gigant dildo or something, it's waay to big.

Zach, I'll be publishing the pictures on st-online.nl, too. If you (or some developer) object, please let me know and I'll remove them. :)

Yeah ive thought that since i first saw the image. I guess they wernt quite finished with the hand phasers yet. Curious though, why would a starfleet officer have a phaser on a friendly planet....hmn

Maybe there is some sort of logic rebellion going on, and Starfleet has been called in to crush the rebellion.

Oh, is this Star Wars Online? :P
