New interview just put up by STO involving writer Christine Thompson : http://www.startrekonline.com/node/126

I especially found the part of the interview interesting regarding a Episodic mission format.  :D

Learn more about Christine Thompson, writer for Star Trek Online!

I’m a fan of a lot of the female characters in the series – Uhura, Crusher, Kira, Dax, Janeway, Torres. Star Trek has never shied from creating characters that are strong and multi-faceted. Trek was one of the first things I could watch where the women weren’t just plot devices, moms or damsels who needed rescuing, and that’s part of what helped hook me on the shows in the first place.

This was an interesting read - Though i was hoping we would have a more high profile writer involved with Star Trek Online.

I know that Cryptic Studios had talks with Derek Chester in Vegas and he put them in contact with DC Fontana but I guess nothing came of it.

As stated on the STO boards, I agree with you Zach, I was hoping that Jack was going to live up to his claim of bringing on a veteran / experienced Trek writer. While Kestrel may have legit writing skills (having worked for a fish wrapper) she has never written Trek before, and the first Star Trek MMO doesn't seem the right venue for a first time Trek writer to try thier hand at the IP.
