Greetings to all fans of Hailing Frequency!

It has been a long time since we have done any kind of mailout, however, first and foremost, we want you all to know that the website still exists and, while we do not have any new podcasts planned in the forseeable future, we do plan to continue updating the site with new Trek Gaming news and updates starting very soon.

We are contacting you today to request help with a project that one of our sister sites, Trek Radio (which was founded and launched by myself originally) is currently involved in.

We are working with the folks over at New Starship (www.newstarship) to bring the BRIDGE of the USS Enterprise, NCC 1701-D, to the Las Vegas Star Trek convention next month.

For those of you who have not heard about New Starship, it all began last year when project leader Huston Huddleston saved the ENTIRE bridge of the Enterprise, which was about to be thrown out and hauled away as garbage!!

He hauled the entire bridge away to his garage at huge personal expense and then tried to decide what to do with it, eventually teaming up with several Star Trek alumni and launching a crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter so that they could gather the funds necessary to restore the bridge to its full glory, and turn it into a FULLY INTERACTIVE museum!

The campaign was a success and over the past several months, Huston and his team have been restoring the bridge AND taking parts of it to various conventions around the United States.  As you can imagine though, the bridge is very heavy, so they have only been able to do so when the conventions themselves cover the costs of transportation and provide the space for free.

WE ARE NOW TRYING TO BRING THE BRIDGE TO THE BIGGEST STAR TREK CONVENTION IN THE WORLD - The LAS VEGAS STAR TREK CONVENTION!

Unfortunatly, Creation Entertainment have been unable to assist with the costs of transportation, nor have they been able to provide us with free booth space for the bridge, so Trek Radio with its broadcasting partners STOked Radio Podcast and Priority One Podcast, teamed up with New Starship and we have turned to CROWD FUNDING in order to meet our goal.

Star Trek has always been more than just a television show or movie franchise. Generations of fans have bonded over Star Trek building lasting memories and dreaming of stepping onto the bridge to command their own starship. Huston Huddleston (New Starship) intends to bring the magic of those memories and dreams to life with this project.

This exhibit will showcase New Starship’s bridge in the most complete form it has been seen to date, with all 6 primary set pieces assembled on the vendor room floor. Fans in attendance will be able to sit in the captain’s chair, take the helm at Conn or Ops, stand at the tactical station, and enjoy unique photo opportunities. In addition, contributors to the Experience the Enterprise campaign have access to a number of great incentives from an on-air shout out to recording a celebrity interview.

We have just 20 hours left in our campaign and so far we have risen $4400 dollars out of our $7500 dollar goal.

WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP!

If you can spare anything, even just a dollar, it gets us closer to our goal. Every dollar helps!

In return for your contributions, we have a range of perks available - you can check them out on our campaign page at http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/experience-the-enterprise?c=home

Please, everyone, do everything that you can to help!  If you cannot donate yourself, please share this post on your facebook pages, or simply include the link to our Indiegogo campaign.  Help us to make this VIRAL if you cannot help in any other way.

Make your donations at http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/experience-the-enterprise?c=home

Many Thanks
Zach Nicodemous

Thank you Zach, for bringing this to our attention. I have donated a modest amount ... although I cannot attend the Las Vegas convention.

I believe that everyone at the convention should have the pleasure of sitting in Captain Picard's chair.

I hope you can share this with anyone that you know, for example in Lotus Fleet, etc.  We have only 11 hours left to raise $3000 dollars :(

Oh, no worries boss, I shared. ;-)

 On to greater news though.

 I received an E-mail confirmation that the NCC-1701D bridge ...  :startrek025:

... WILL be at the Las Vegas convention. The Crowd Funding succeeded in getting the necessary funds to bring the bridge to the convention.

I would like to extend my own thanks to the many, many trekker's whose timely contributions enabled this set to be there, so that the multitude of fans can get their chance to sit in the Big Chair.

The needs of the many (fan's) out-weigh the needs of the few(donors) ...

Enjoy the Las Vegas Star Trek convention people; and be sure someone post's a picture of themselves sitting in that set.
