So in preparation for our new theme which is coming in a week or two, I decided to upgrade the forum to the very latest version this afternoon.
This has caused alot of issues. Not because the software is buggy, but mostly because we have been running this particular "version" of the forum for 3 years now, upgrading it each and every time there was a new update, installing mods, uninstalling mods, etc etc.
So what needs to be done, is that the database needs to be backed up, and the forum completely reinstalled.
However, once I do this, our current forum theme will not work anymore (don't ask why) - so we have two options:
1) I do the reinstall today, and we use a default forum theme for a week or more until the new one is done.
2) We wait before doing the reinstall, and just "make do" with the bugs that have cropped up. The most glaring of which, is the fact that the shoutbox has stopped working.
Option 1, or Option 2 folks?
