Tholian vs. Species 8472
« on: 17 June 2009 03:57 AM »
Let's try this again. I accidenly hit the reply instead of the edit button. Then I hit delete and the original thread disappeared.

A Tholian and a member of Species 8472 are in an arena battle. Who do you think wins?

Species 8472 would blast the Tholian ship out of existence before they could even power up their web spinners.

they are both silican based lifeforms, howeveri belive the Tholians have the advantage here and would easily destroy them before they could do anything serious.

I've a feeling that Species 8472 might find a comfortable Tholian environment a little too toasty... I'd be tempted to go with the punctual Assembly-person.

they are both silican based lifeforms

Are you sure about that? The only silicon based lifeforms I know of are the Horta. I don't think we ever found out precisely what 8472 was based on.

ther silicon based life forms were shown. The Crystalline Entity, some virus from an Enterprise episode (cannot recall which one it was). And I think there was another one besides the Horta.
As to the Tholians being silicon based...not that I am aware of, but there is scant info on them. They came from M81, so perhaps there could be silicon in their makeup.
The Species 8472 is from fluidic space, and I believe they are biological in make up, not Silicon.

And I still maintain that one on one, the 8472 would take a Tholian.

it was stated in a voyager episode the reason the Borg's nano's couldn't assimilate 8472 was ebcause tey were silicon based. janeway and crew had to "modify" the nano's to affect them.

but one on one a Tholian would womp on an 8472 easily.
