Still working on how to put together the announcement for Aftermath: Battalia Requiem, just finding the time to get it done as it gets a brand new promo video with new treatments.

But for today, I will show you a new system and also the new Romulan Gryphon. A small bit of news on that is I will probably change the name of the Gryphon class to something else. The Gryphon class is the very first ship to display a 'glass like' hull. The way how it reacts to light is the same way how an empty glass bottle reacts to it. Shimmers, changes colour and everything. This level of effect was once deemed impossible for Legacy but as time goes by the more things that get the 'no cant be done' response soon find out they can and are being done. The glass effect is one of countless new effects that will be on display in Aftermath: Battalia Requiem. The video below is a video test on the system 'Tein Bessa'. Other video tests for other systems and ships will be shown throughout development.

The system that is being shown today is 'Tein Bessa'. This is a 6player system and is set on the borderline of Heaven and Hell (the 'Heaven and Hell' concept will be announced in the announcement of Battalia Requiem). This is one of a couple Romulan systems that are within the Berratta Verge. This system at one stage was a test bed for brand new warp technology where an incident occurred in which the suns solar flares stretched and froze within an unstable spacial rift caused from experimental warp portal. The system also plays a key role in how the Terran race ventured into the Berratta Verge...

As things are very quiet on the public front for all Aftermath releases (both BC and Legacy), this time will be taken to explain this period.

First is the BC version of Aftermath. Development of a major TC release of the BC version is still going ahead, main developer Max is looking at new ideas to bring into the BC version.

Second is the Legacy version of Aftermath. Unexpected events have put an indefinite hold on all development. Just when development started up, a very personal and serious event happened which is family oriented. Development should start back up in late March 2010. The release Battalia Requiem will still go ahead.

As I took some time off for family reasons, I have now started up development of Aftermath material again. I wont be working on the BC version of Aftermath anymore and will just be concentrating on the Legacy version. Due to the seriousness of family matters, this will be another year where no large scale release will happen. The promo piece for Battalia Requiem hopefully that will be up at end of April, its currently sitting on my laptop which decided it was a good idea to cook the motherboard and been waiting for replacement part since..

Since I took leave, new areas which are being picked up are:

-Vista/Windows 7 compatibility
-Laptop performance
-New benchmark for graphics

Aftermath: Battalia Requiem wont be released until 2011. There is still a chance it may drop this year but I wont push for it. I will release when its ready. There are a few bits of news that are in the promo for AM:BR which will be kept quiet on till then.

*EDIT*

All future promo will now be in the link below:
