I was following the progress of Legacy years before its release. I watched the E3 trailers and previews. I read hands on reports and eagerly awaited the day of release. When the game came out i rushed to buy it. It was by far one of the most anticipated games of my year. I started playing and continued to play all night. I was impressed... But there are loads of things that would have made it not "just another Trek game for Trekkies/Trekkers". There was so much untapped potential... So Bethesda, PAY ATTENTION!

In game features/upgrades
- boarding parties
I was greatly let down with this aspect of the game. I would have liked to have seen perhaps 1-4 boarding parties in your fleet that were ready to capture a damaged ship/station. Or perhaps they could have sabotaged the ships from inside. There were so many possibilities. Maybee these ships could have been special campaign objectives within the game... "capture this war criminal aboard this vessel"... "capture the prototype ship" etc etc etc.

- Ship customization
all through Trek we see the engineers doing what they do best... Making things work at 110% efficiency. Upgrading weapons and ships in space dock. Why didn't we see this in the game. When the original Defiant was replaced by the Sao Paolo, the chief remarked about who it didn't run as smooth as the original. I would have liked to have seen ship customization and also fine tuning as the campaign went on... If i used 1 ship more than any other, then that ship should really be more tuned and battle ready. If a ship is straight off the production line then it is less reliable and less tweakable. And if you are going on a combat mission, then you should be custom armed to the teeth with everything space dock can give you.

- Smoother AI fleet control
I think everyone knows the feeling of annoyance you get when you gave that little scout ship an order to move to one place, just to find it has wandered right in to the middle of a battle. I would like to see customizable formations that you can preconfigure. If you want your little scout ship in between your huge galaxy class vessels, then at the tap of a button (D-pad on controller) you could get those ships in that formation and ready for action.

- More and more and more ships!
Am i the only one who wanted to fly the kick-ass Andorian ship that belonged to Commander Shran? I think NOT. There should be a library of ships on the sequel. More Tellerite, Vulcan, Klingon, Romulan, Dominion, Andorian, Cardassian and Breen vessels would all be welcomed.

- Co-op Online
Community is one of Trek's assets. What would be better than taking on campaign missions with friends. And even perhaps some downloadable content custom missions that are designed just for Co-op play. I am still a big fan of the objective missions. Defending a station from Dominion attack, capturing the Breen Ambassador or hijacking the latest prototype ship from a heavily guarded Romulan ship yard are just a few possibilities. Imagine the tactics you could employ. One player with 2 heavily armed ships creating a distraction and moving the patrol ships away from an objective, then player 2's fast scout ships zipping in to do what must be done.

- Damage effects
I was underwhelmed when it came to the effects of damage on a ships hull. A games company should not rely on the fans to patch in what should have already been there on release. I wanted to see ships taking a battering. I would have liked to see Nacelles detaching and exploding. Warp cores being ejected to prevent breaches and escape pods being jettisoned on a limp ship. Sort it out next time Bethesda.

Anything more i should add to the list? If they added the above, then i would happily call Legacy 2 "Game Of The Year". It would have everything i desire from a Trek game. The foundations are there from Legacy 1. So lets make it so!

Better controls, I have gotten the hang of them now but more natural ones would be better even better yet customizable controls.

I would like to see all of the features that we're hinted at in interviews and at E3, that DIDNT make it into the final game, added into a sequel
