Trek Radio will be sitting down with Christine Thompson aka Kestrel, the Lead Writer for Star Trek Online for an interview later this week to discuss upcoming story arcs, featured episode series and more!

We are giving you the chance to submit any questions you might like to ask her – please note that as Lead Writer, she can primarily answer questions about the storyline, about writing, about where the game is going in terms of those areas and so forth.   Things relating to free-to-play are not so much down her alley so to speak.

If you would like to submit a question, you can either go ahead and post it as a comment on this post, or e-mail it to zach@startrekradio.com

Keep an eye on the frontpage of www.trekradio.net for details about when this interview will be airing – we’ll get those details up within 24-36 hours!

Which comes first, the chicken or the egg? Do you write a storyline and the game follows it or is there some mechanism for feedback from management and fans that gives you a general direction to take the plot? On another point, I notice that you are the lead writer: does that mean STO is a team effort? Is it a cast of thousands? How do you organise the work, does one writer have a specific "thread" that they are responsible for? Collaborative writing must take a fair amount of teamwork and, um, diplomacy, eh?

I think the depth of the fictional universe that you guys are building in STO is great! Whichever way Trek canon goes in the future, I think "STO Canon" will gather and maintain a real following!

Cheers

Dear Kestrel
As a long time Cryptic fan. Im very glad to see you are still in the team.
I hope to enjoy the new FE soon involving DS9 area. But what i'm really interested in is Sela and the Romulan Iconian Arc. Specifically a continuity of SF INTEL on the Matter or
What the Federation Consul is Doing With all the things we've discovered for them.
The War with the Klingons needs a Diplomatic tie in worth the word proven that the Undine caused our greif.
