So long, and thanks for all the fun

Sadly, i must say goodbye to you all, as STO rolls out, I find it's time to move on. STO is Star trek In Name Only, has no potential to move beyond a half-finished product that only included a rudimentry combat system ad misses the essence of Star terk completely.

Some will argue it is trek, but then again, they may just have blinders on and are hoping that cryptic lives up to it's promises of "fixing it" post launch. I However am a realist and see the forest through the trees, they have yet to live up to their promises of fixing CO post launch, CO's price has dropped dramaticly just a few onths out the door, they have free weekends constantly to try and bring in pople. but unfortunatly CO is doomed, and i see STO going the same path.

So with that, and what the game is, i must move on and not stress over a game that will never be what it could have been, nor what it was promised to be. I won't go into all the details of why i say this is STINO, i've done that enough through the CB and OB. One of my best friends summed it up nicely "this is a nice game to play if you have insomina, after an hour of play you just want to sleep"

So to all those i've met along the way, good luck in your ventures, to the HF staff, Good luck with the great service you have provided. I'll miss you all, but it's time i stop following train wrecks and relax for awhile.

Your friend,
Falin

I like the way the space battles look (Keep in mind I don't have the game) but I think the rest looks very bland and even behind what games of today look like.

I can't stand online games and can't fork out monthly bills. I have 100 plus games that I never find time to play that don't require online junk. Not to mention my computers are falling behind on the times.

While STO and even other types of game like Starcraft 2 are getting a big thumbs down for me. I'll still drop in every once in awhile to see what's happening.

/end of my rant

Wish you well Falin

 I wish you well Falin.
To say the least...it has been an interesting trip with you on board. If anyone is deserving of the Devils Advocate Award, you are the one! lol.
I hope to run into you again on-line...somewhere...when, as you intimate, a game comes out that you can get behind. Until then, Live Long and Prosper.

Thanks guys, wow has it been over a month now? man my stress levels down and funny thing is, i just got into the "Lego Universe" closed beta, man now that thing is a blast compared to that failed game i was testing, what was it? oh yea STO. been reading the reviews, glad to see i was right, hearing the numbers are down, the game is sinking and just glad i didn't get suckered into wasting money on it.

ah well, water under the bridge, i'm just happy to have my stress levels back to normal out of work levels and not fretting about failures. anyways, like i siad, just stopped in to see what's happening here, seems pretty dead. wha's up with that?

So let me get this straight. You'd rather be 'right' than see STO succeed? It sucked more than expected? Wow, who would have seen that coming?

C'mon, man. It could have crapped gold bars out of your PC for you and you still would've hated it, because that's what you wanted to do.

I'm not even gonna remark on the rest...
