   It certianly looks like wood to me, but have you noticed? those flat rocks around it resembles something of an old roadway or such if you look closely at it.

either thats wood or its photoshopped.
i only say photoshopped because i cant believe theres wood on mars and it seems to stick out like a soar thumb with its surroundings.. weird stuff!

millions of years ago  mars was a lush green world..much like earth......

one day.... the unknown to us sister planet.. we will call it mars2

exploded!!! the force of the explostion shifted the orbit of mars and everything was layed wasted!!!!!!! only thing left of the once lush word.... a piece of tree..that has turned to stone long ago..

Bah i hate thoe people, all this evidence that we were there and they still say we weren't. I mean all they have to do is take an off the shelf telescope, point it at the landing sites and they'll see the left over equipment still there.

i have sean similare pattern in a stone before, it was formed by gravel pushed by Ice during the ice age.

if you see closly at the picture you will see that dust and sand are lying in straight "lines" from the crater, that is from the inpact. mayby (tho unlikly) the "wood" is part of what ever made the crater?.

and do any one know what the shiny object is? its directly obove the "log"
