The other thing that I noticed was Mr. Juliano's perfect STO might open you guys up to a lot of angry flaming with regards to Opinions rather then known facts. I mean right now I understand that there isnt a lot of information about STO but you might consider taking some of the hottest discussions in the boards and offering contrasting ideas about how STO might be developed rather then taking ownership of how STO "should" be developed, with that in mind at least then you maintain the reputation as a Star Trek Gaming News source rather then a opinion based weekly column that we might read in our local news paper.
The important fact to remember is that, when the STO-Zone segment first started out, it was designed to be a somewhat factual segment based on Star Trek Online. Since the cancelletion of STO, and with not knowing who has the IP, the segment has had to switch to speculation rather than fact, something which i am sure will be reveresed once STO is re-announced and we start getting lots of information once again.
Maintaining the reputation as a leading source for Star Trek Gaming News is very important to me, rest assured, and it is a reputation that has been built up very slowly over a 2½ year period -
i'm not going to let that go out of the window. Ultimatly, we respond to feedback - so i'd like to thank you for posting your views for us to review. If anyone else has any opinions, good or bad about this, please post for our review.
Well, remember that STOZone is completely produced and written by me, not the entire crew, and those opinions are mine, not theirs. So, any flaming should be sent my way.
Unfortunatly, in the world that we release Hailing Frequency, the whole production is considered accountable (of course WE know it isnt, but not everyone see's it like that), even if it is only one particular segment that has caused the problem. This has been reflected in the past where i have recieved complaints about some aspect of Mod Weekly, or the STGN. Its just the way it works.
