I actually really enjoy this this UI its not overly intrusive and it still maintains a strong trek feel to it. I think this style of UI for Star Trek is a great direction.

All the empty buttons in trek, actually arent empty, the people who use them know what the numbers stand for.
But, in STO, perhaps instead of numbers, the buttons could say something to be easier to use?
