Legacy Now for Sale in USA; Multiplayer not Working
« on: 07 December 2006 09:04 PM »
Legacy has hit store shelves in the USA (not Canada or Europe yet).  People think the graphics are cool, and they wish they could play the game online.

There is, at the moment, no online play for Legacy.  That's right.  Gamespy has openly said that they will not be supporting the game.

Rogue Vulcan, the newest moderator over at Bethesda, now claims that a patch will be put out tonight to allow online, multi-player games.  However, Wildcard, the head admin of Trek-Online.net, had a telephone conversation with Bethsoft at 4:04 p.m. EST today.  They did confirm a 99% probability that a patch would be out tonight, on the download section of the Legacy website.  The patch will address the multiplayer issues.

Another concern people have expressed is the apparent lack of a CD key.  Gamers are wondering how Legacy and Bethsoft will be protected from pirating of the game.
