 Congratulations to Sir Stewart. A more deserving person I could not imagine.

 As for Shatner...I think he has a big enough ego! lol

This, Exactly.
while I love TOS and all that it has made possible - I have never been a Shat-head. I could never imagine anyone else playing Kirk but at the same time I always had the feeling it was "just another paycheck" for this actor. I know this may be blasphemy for some but it's just an opinion for me...
