Title: Hi from STOFleet
Post by: Basekid on 23 September 2007 04:29 AM
Hey everyone,

I'm here on behalf of STOFleet, a fleet that is waiting to play STO. We also have a number of RPG ships, which are being used extensively. We currently have about 150 members, but are still a close community with a very good command staff.

Feel free to visit us at www.stofleetcommand.com (http://www.stofleetcommand.com)

Hi basekid

We have alot of Star Trek Online Fans who listen to the show!

Have you considered making a short audio advert about your clan - perhaps there are people out there that would join!

I echo Basekids' sentiments. We have four ships now, and a php Rp forum site as well. Check it out and see the new USS Dragonfire in action! :)

I just wish to add to Basekid's sentiments, and add an update.
We here at STOFleet Command still have, and have added to, our registered users, which currently stands at 160+.
Captain Maciag of the Galaxy class flagship U.S.S. Final Frontier, has authorized me to contact you and extend greetings to everyone and invite you to stop by ten forward and partake of our hospitality.
For myself, C.O.O. of the U.S.S. Endeavour, I bid you long life and clean jefferies tubes, as we all set sail into the great unknown, in order to discover more of the "Great Bird of the Galaxy's" undiscovered country.

M.C.P.O. David 'Buck' Rogers,
Chief of Operations
U.S.S.Endeavour. (Nova Class)

Up-Date:

STOFleet Command is now into it's Star Trek Online phase, and all members are now commanding their own ships in the RP forums and SMS site.
The Forum RP is winding down, and both Alpha and Beta fleets, along with R&D and Security fleets, are enroute to DS9 for an extended mission both in the Badlands and into the Gamma Quadrant.
For myself, my ship...the USS Betelgeuse...is almost at the DS9 staging area to meet up with the fleets' ships USS Final Frontier; USS Endeavour; USS Stormsworder; USS Strata; USS Andor; USS Tennessee; to name a few.
Wish us luck on our mission. :)

Time for an up-date:
 RP SMS Site (http://www.stofleetcommand.com/SMS/index.php?page=main)

STOFleet Command is now well into it's mission mandate; to find and rescue some Star Fleet engineers vital to Star Fleet's R&D.
Alpha Fleet, under Commodore Maciag in the flag ship USS Final Frontier, is taking fire in the Gamma Quadrant from unknown probes of vast power.
Beta Fleet is engaging unidentified ships in the Badlands, with Commodore Dark-Haven's ship, the USS Endeavour taking heavy fire as are the Beta Fleets' Hazard squadron. The CO of the R&D squadron, Capt. Kade Stier, in formation with the USS Alahambra under Capt. Dave Harper and the USS Betelgeuse under Capt. David Rogers, are engaged in a separate battle with identical  unidentified ships in a separate area of the Badlands.
Stiers' ship, the USS Tennessee, is taking heavy fire and and Captain's Harper and Rogers are attempting to split the enemy forces and draw fire.
As of yet, Bravo Fleet has not located any of the missing engineer's, but once we check out the old Maquis base on Marva IV, then perhaps we can move on.
Let us hope the enemy doesn't have more ships in the vicinity.

The Badlands/Gamma Quadrant mission went well with light casualties but heavy damage to multiple ships. Current upgrades are being retro-fitted into the USS Alahambra, which suffered heavily during the battle at Marva IV.
Alpha and Bravo fleets have returned to Star Base 234 and are undergoing reassignment into their respective commands; Administration, SpecOps and R&D. This fleet-wide restructuring will allow for better preparation for in-game play, as well as make for a more involved community for the fleet, with multiple positions opening up allowing more members into command positions.

Update:

The Fleet SMS RP (http://www.stofleetcommand.com/sites/SMS/index.php?page=post&id=287) site is well into it's next mission. Captain Stier of the USS Tennessee is leading a flotilla of ships into the Romulan Neutral Zone in order to assist the Romulan High Command with some renegade faction causing problems on both sides of the zone.
Along with Captain Stier are Lieutenant-Commander Zeez Teancum in the USS Britestar, Lieutenant Dave Harper of the USS South Carolina and Lieutenant JG Thomas Johnson of the USS Moscow Star.
The rest of the fleet wishes them good luck.

Welcome to the world of Fleet politics. There is sometimes alot of drama, but it is fun. Is your faction Federation, Klingon, or Neutral at this point?

Hey Cleopatra. I will let Lycos formally answer for himself, but I can tell you that STOFleet Command is primarily a Federation Fleet. Perhaps some few of the members will enter the game as Klingon faction...but we are mostly RP'ing now as Star Fleet. Only time will tell once the game starts, but I forsee a Federation faction STOFleet in game.

Alright, I see. What alliances do you currently have right now?

STOFleet Command is currently under no formal alliance atm. We have good to excellent relations with most fleets/guilds out there, and do not anticipate any animosity in the foreseeable future.

Thanks BLZBUB and thank you Cleopatra, I would have to agree, in our RP'ing efforts we have supported the Federation in all fleet RPs as well as a majority of our member base has pick vessels from Starfleet. So I would have to say there is a good chance for us to be found on the side of the Federation.

Montgomery? Where have you been hiding? In the Captain's mess again? heh heh

Lycos. As our Ambassador, I know you will enjoy meeting all the great people that Zach and Kinneas have gathered together here. It is a great place...and be sure to listen in on the podcasts...they're great stuff!

I hope I see you guys more in the STO Fleets Section. I am surprised at the lack of interaction between the Fleets here and the major ones at STO.

Although more postings between fleets would be helpful, and nice, many of them are tired of the long wait for the game. Perhaps as we get closer to launch the interplay between us all will increase.
I suppose one could say that many are stuck in the recurring timeloop of their own fleet happenings and have yet to break free into the greater space beyond their assigned borders.
Hmmm. That is getting too deep...even for me!  :startrek029:

 Addendum:

From: Admirals Mavryk Darkhaven, Kavos and BLZBUB:

 Subject: Closing of STOFleet Command ( http://www.stofleet.com/forum/index.php (http://www.stofleet.com/forum/index.php) ).

Due to an extreme lack of forum participation on the boards, Strategic Tactical Operations Fleet will be closing their forum on June 1st, 2010.
The fleet will remain active within the Star Trek Online game. It will just be the forum site closing for the forseeable future.
On behalf of the co-leaders and past leaders of STOFleet Command, I wish to convey our sincerest gratitudes for everyones past participation over the last five years, and we hope that we can return to Star Base 234 at some future date.

In the interim, defend the principles of the Federation and, as always...

... Live Long and Prosper.

 Regards:

 Admiral BLZBUB.
 Ambassador General;
 STOFleet Command

Only just saw this - very sad, you would think that since STO launched, fleets would be seeing a surge of activity.
